Multicultural challenges: managing a diverse workforce

This session aims to support care organisations that are considering applying to the Home Office for a sponsor licence, as well as those that have already been granted one. Through discussing lived experiences, challenges faced, and solutions implemented, the session will offer realistic insights to help manage expectations.
The focus will be on the problem-solving approaches utilised by StellarCare NW Ltd and the positive impact these have had on the company's security, stability, staff retention, and quality improvement. In light of some negative press regarding the employment of migrant workers, the session will also highlight the benefits and rewards gained as a company from employing a diverse workforce.
The session will conclude with a perspective aimed at larger companies that have a significant migrant workforce, presenting technical solutions to ensure the skills and experiences of these staff members are recognised and managed effectively, ultimately better supporting the clients served.
