Nourish Care shines a light on the real people behind adult care
Nourish Care is visiting care home managers, community teams, those drawing on care and their families to capture the human stories that make up the circle of care. The Better Life series features filmed first person accounts of how the Nourish digital care management software is used day to day and the impact it creates.
Each of the self-contained episodes will be a fly-on-the-wall style documentary and the series will feature a mix of care types and settings. The first episode was filmed at Dallas Street, Mansfield, a supported living facility operated by United Response, a support hub for residents who face barriers such as unemployment, mental health issues, etc.
Lee Gilbert, Chief Marketing Officer for Nourish, says: “We now have customers queuing up to be involved in this purpose-driven project because at the heart of what everyone in care does, are people. We at Nourish do what we do so that we can improve outcomes for those in care and their carers. Care is always a joint operation, it’s about a community that works together, all with the same aim - to provide the best care possible to those who need it. We’re really excited about meeting some of the characters working tirelessly behind the scenes in care, those in care, and their families.”
The Dallas Street episode features a resident talking about his life at the service, a commissioner explaining how they work with the team there and a social worker. The film also shows student workers on placement at the hub.
Olivia Briggs, Regional Manager from United Response said: “It was an honour for us to be asked to take part in this documentary series. Thank you to the team at Nourish for giving people an opportunity to share their stories and hopefully give people a positive insight into Social Care and enabling the people we support to have a voice.”
