Celebrating diversity in social care at London Pride

On Saturday 29 June, Molly, Matthew, and Sabrina from the Care Show team were thrilled to join The Outstanding Society's Out Standing Diversity Forum at London Pride 2024 to march on behalf of Care Show and celebrate the diversity within the adult social care sector.

With an early morning start, the group gathered at Hyde Park Corner to begin the parade. The weather was exceptional, and spirits were high. Armed with plenty of suncream, and led by the wonderful Sanjay Dhrona, Outstanding Society Director and MD of The Close Care Home along with Phil Harper, Senior University Lecturer and Drag Artist, the parade commenced.

Molly Benson, Content Producer for both Care Shows shared her thoughts on the event: ‘It was wonderful to see so many different faces from the sector joining together to march in solidarity with the sector, showing their support for increased equality. We were so grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a fantastic celebration and are looking forward to continuing to uphold the values embodied at London Pride.'
