Emily, who graduated with a master’s degree in Woven Textiles from the University of Huddersfield, has an extensive background in textile design. After graduating, she began her career in the automotive industry, designing textiles for brands such as Volvo, Land Rover, and Jaguar. Her early work in the automotive sector provided her with a strong technical foundation, essential for creating high-performance fabrics. Over 17 years ago, Emily transitioned to creating fabrics for commercial environments and for the past 13 years, she has been a member of the Iliv design team. Her combination of advanced technical knowledge and extensive experience in both the automotive and commercial fabric industries position her as an expert in creating beautiful yet durable, high-quality interior fabrics. She leads the contract design team at Iliv to creating a diverse range of commercial upholstery, drapery, and accessory fabrics. Her focus extends beyond the aesthetics; she carefully considers every aspect of the commercial environment, including practical considerations like care requirements. This approach ensures that the fabrics not only look appealing but also meet the rigorous demands of commercial use.
