Lauren Wraight
Head of Care,
LDC Care
I have been working in the social care sector for over 15 wonderful years. I started my journey as a cleaner, and through hard work and dedication, I progressed through the ranks to my current role as Head of Care at LDC Care. My career has been one of constant learning and growth, and I’m incredibly proud of the progress I’ve made over the years.
One of the highlights of my career came in 2022 when I was honoured to receive the Senior Manager National Award. It was an amazing moment and a recognition of the commitment and passion I bring to my work every day. Being acknowledged on a national stage was both humbling and deeply rewarding, and it has further motivated me to continue striving for excellence in everything I do.
As a woman in leadership, prior to working for LDC Care, I’ve had to fight for my place at the table, but giving up was never an option. Working with LDC Care has been a wonderful experience because they celebrate and uplift women in leadership roles, something I’m incredibly passionate about. I believe that diversity in leadership brings strength and innovation to the workplace.
In my leadership role, I always strive to work to the highest of my ability, with a focus on empowering my team. I believe in harnessing people's key skills to help them reach their full potential and, in turn, get the best out of the workforce. It’s important to me to create an environment where everyone feels valued and supported, and where their unique talents can shine.
I’m excited to continue leading and making a positive impact in the care sector, and I look forward to what the future holds.
