Lynsey Hutchinson BA (Hons)
Lynsey trained in Interior Design in the World renowned Mackintosh building at the Glasgow School of Art and has since worked in the design industry for over 20 years. In practice, Lynsey’s work has covered Corporate, Hospitality, and Housing design projects. More recently, however, she has focused her work on designing residential care homes, at both ends of the spectrum, for young and older people. As a result, Lynsey has extensive experience working closely with housing associations and care providers to help clients realise their design ambitions for each individual project.
In 2016, Lynsey joined the Dementia Services Development Centre at the University of Stirling bringing her knowledge of designing interior spaces for the elderly and people living with dementia. In her current role at the University Of Stirling, Lynsey uses her unique skill sets in space planning, product design and FF&E specification to deliver the Dementia Services Development Centre’s Product Accreditation service, provide design training and advise clients on the application of dementia design principles. Lynsey is also an approved auditor for the University Of Stirling’s internationally renowned Dementia Services Development Centre’s Building Accreditation service, aka the ‘Stirling Gold Award’.
